[#453264]

Doing a slightly more thorough service on my revs and I'm not sure about the replacement seal kit i got from crc

Do Revs have oil seals, I thought they're supposed to be under the foam rings but all there is there are bushings.

and where can I get foam rings that fit, the ones in the kit shown above are way too small (heightwise)

Cheers!

The foam ring and the bottom seal (black one in pic) go in the groove where the original, wider foam ring was. Or in other words, lower black seal in first, then foam, then outer wiper seal.
EDIT: I think!

Ahh ok cheers, that figures

Why do they do this? They were OEM off merlin, is it some kind of cost saving?

Got mine from TF, said it was an improved version on the standard seals.

EDIT: I think!

You think right!

Pikes have oil seal, foam and dust seal as standard (non oem) so i would assume the rest of the range would...unless revelations use the fox/magura system and have a dust/oil seal in one and foam below?

yeah they seem to, although the original dust seals seem in no way different to the replacement kit to account for this.

Does the flat side sit in against the lowers then I take it? (i.e. flat facing downwards)
