Loud pop, world goes upside down and I've now started the hip new craze of camelbak surfing, 25 feet IIRC.

Hip now swelling up nicely, but taking Rum and cok e in strictly excessive quanitities. Nice...

So, did you tie a knot in it, or did you have some nice large patches?

Have to say that is probably the most impressive blow out I have ever seen.

I used the neoprene chainstay protector as a patch. It fitted, just about.

Had the same thing happen a few years ago for some reason. Fortunately didn't injure myself though, but it sounded like I'd ridden over a landmine! Was that loud.

Had no means of repairing the tyre though, so had a 4 mile walk back to the car, depite having a spare tube!

OOh nasty, I'm assuming you rolled the tyre off the rim and burst the tube that way? Was it a Panaracer tyre by any chance?

I had one go like that whilst riding in a straight line to work once. Obviously I was a tad surprised, but fixed it up, got into work and got into work. About half an hour later I heard a muffled 'boom' from the staff room. Same thing again. Still no idea what caused it.

I was following right behind Mick so had a great view of the whole thing ๐Ÿ˜€

The creative swearing which happened afterwards is like nothing I've ever heard before.

my roadie blew a tube on the train once, not even riding a long. 120psi through a very small hole = very big noise, sounded like a bullet going through a window.
