Loud pop, world goes upside down and I've now started the hip new craze of camelbak surfing, 25 feet IIRC.

Hip now swelling up nicely, but taking Rum and cok e in strictly excessive quanitities. Nice...
Always wondered wondered what the big patch in the TipTop puncture kits was for...
So, did you tie a knot in it, or did you have some nice large patches?
Have to say that is probably the most impressive blow out I have ever seen.
Nipples like bullets ๐ฏ
I used the neoprene chainstay protector as a patch. It fitted, just about.
Nips are bonesetters, I think he was quite turned on by that much rubber.
animal! ๐
phew!
Had the same thing happen a few years ago for some reason. Fortunately didn't injure myself though, but it sounded like I'd ridden over a landmine! Was that loud.
Had no means of repairing the tyre though, so had a 4 mile walk back to the car, depite having a spare tube!
OOh nasty, I'm assuming you rolled the tyre off the rim and burst the tube that way? Was it a Panaracer tyre by any chance?
That is a true feat of tube shredding..... very impressed!
Was a nice loud pop, unfortunately I missed the actual comedy dismount ๐ just the humorous post crash recovery dance ๐
I did that jumping the stairs onto (tarmac) milford carpark, I'm sure mine hurt more, 25ft on camelback? Pah I did 30ft on my head....
That would explain the ugliness! You're just too 'core' for me Scruff. ๐
and next time you'll inflate your tyres correctly... ๐
Cough "tubeless" cough
If you're going to crash, you may as well make it a good 'un! ๐
Get well soon mate!
I had one go like that whilst riding in a straight line to work once. Obviously I was a tad surprised, but fixed it up, got into work and got into work. About half an hour later I heard a muffled 'boom' from the staff room. Same thing again. Still no idea what caused it.
I was following right behind Mick so had a great view of the whole thing ๐
The creative swearing which happened afterwards is like nothing I've ever heard before.
my roadie blew a tube on the train once, not even riding a long. 120psi through a very small hole = very big noise, sounded like a bullet going through a window.
