I have just bought some new '09 Revelation dual airs without u-turn, they have only had one ride so are not bedded in yet but I just want to check if this is normal or not. When you compress the forks there is quite a loud squelching noise and also when you re-connect the pump to the negative air chamber the pressure seems to have dropped about 20-30psi from when it was first set, the positive air seems to keep the same pressure.

This is my first set of air forks so I'm not sure if this is normal, any help appreciated 🙂

If fork is compressing fully and rebound is o.k. ignore it, it's only oil surge. Negative chamber is tiny, so you lose half the air every time you connect.

Yeah, you loose pressure filling the pump back up again. All air forks do this to some extent.

The squelching might calm down, but seeming as yours have been sitting around for 2 years, a quick oil change might be in order to be honest. 🙂

Thanks, so would I need to change any seals or is it just the oil?
