Hi  I'm currently undertaking my post graduate degree in Sports Performance and my dissertation is going to be a study into the difference in nasal vs oral breathing warm up (submax under 2mml of lactate) and its effect on a TTE (time to exhaustion) test.  I will be looking for participants who are willing to undertake two lab tests to examine this plus a standard ramp test to establish base levels. The University is Bucks New Uni in High Wycombe so if anybody based close (south east) and is willing to be a participant please send me a DM and I can further elaborate.

Thanks

Harvey

Too far for me, otherwise I'd stick my name in the hat. Always interesting figures from uni tests.

I’m not too far away and have some interest. But I’m really rubbish at breathing through my nose. I’m not sure I can manage zone 2 through my nose. I’ll try it next ride. Is that an issue to you?

can do, but what age?  i’ve done studies at St Margaret’s, but their ethics committee only admits a max age of 55. so i’m now too old for those. you’re local enough. DM me if i’m young enough.

Hi Thanks for the replies regards age I'm going to be aiming for the research to cover 18-60yrs old so 57 shouldn't be an issue. @ampthill  atm there is no duration on the time spent at Z2, the research method will be 'up til 2mml of lactate."  I have to submit my ethics form for late Jan which will include all the research details when and if it passes ethics I will DM you both.

Anybody else who is interested please reply or DM and once again thanks for the replies - it really helps as the more participants I have the greater validity the research will have.

No all the tests will be done on separate sessions - total time for each session approx one hour.
