I want to replace the lockout cable on my RC39 to make it longer. I've taken the lockout mechanism off the top of the fork ( eg the bit that screws into the fork that includes the needle that does the locking) but there's no obvious way to undo or unclamp the cable to relace it. It does look there might be a nut under the spring but actually accessing it looks tricky.
Anyone done it or know how?

I think the inner is soldered into the brass tuby bit - at least that's how it was on my RC36s. I gave up and sent them back to Pace for a longer cable.
