should I have a go myself or get a pro to do it, I'm bit cack handed when it comes to bike maintenance.

Piece of cake to do em

Don't even need to remove the when to get the old pads out

It's a Torx bolt retaining pin, can't remember the size though

If in doubt read the manual

If still in doubt, LBS time/find a mate who is good with spanners

That's just them covering themselves. If Formula made inner tubes they'd put a similar warning on about only professional mechanics being allowed to fit them.
