the headset feels loose on my lefty and i was hoping to get out for a ride this weekend. is there a way to tighten them up or is it time for some new bearings?

New bearings.
Not cheap, and probably have to be ordered through a Cannondale dealer. £30-40 or something.
Easy to replace; Remove the rebound adjuster from the top cap of the fork leg (2mm allen key I think). Remove the top cap using a Shimano external BB tool. Remove the stem. Remove the top clamp. Tap the top of the steerer with a soft mallet to free it, then slide it off. The top bearing should come loose with minimal coaxing, the bottom one also. replace, then reassemble. Bit of grease in where the bearings sit. Don't forget to replace lower and upper bearing washers.
