I've got an Abus helmet.
I bought a replacement buckle for it, as the old ones spring broke.
I cannot for the life of me work out how to replace it. I would appear I need to remove the straps, which I am sure is a terrible idea, as I would never be able to get themn back in place.
Is there a secret method to doing this?>

Is it possible to take the old strap out of the buckle, without cutting it?
I got a replacement buckle for my Osprey pack. It was easy enough to fit.
You might want to take a reminder photo of the threading on the original.

it goes into the top of the helmet. i am assuming under the hard shell.
