Ello, a prang a while back resulted in my brake lever being bent 90 degrees. How do I go about changing it as it isnt immediatly obvious how to ge tthe lever off?

Cheers,

Which Shimano lever is it? There will be a model number stamped on the underside of the clamp.

Just checking it wasn't a 485 or 486 as those blades can't be removed.

How did you do that Dezb? I couldn't get mine to give even slightly, the impact that caused it was enough to break my wrist though.

I think I would worry about it snapping when in use if I bent it back.

Oh, I was worried, but I was halfway down an Alpine pass at the time. It was either bend it straight or walk the rest of the way down! Xt levers are probably softer 🙂
