My house was broken into the other day and my sons 15" Merlin Malt 1 was stolen so I need to replace it.
I was going to replace it like for like but they dont have any of those size frames at the mo. So, any ideas on a similar type of spec / weight for around the £600 mark? Hopefully a lightish HT frame, 100 - 120mm forks and RF or shimano Deore type spec.
He uses the bike for riding at Glentress, Pentlands and local natural trails (Dalkeith area).

Boardman Comp, Voodoo Bokor, Carrera Fury, Canyon Yellowstone 3 or 4 for a start.
All around the same geometry & similar-ish spec & mailorder, so you can't test em first 😈
Should be something for him there, or at least it's a starting point to compare other bike with.
