[Closed] replacement 2x10 gxp outer chainrings?

Wondered where people source them from and if there is anywhere that does them at sensible prices? Being 120 rather than 104 bolt centres it appears hardly anyone makes them? I found raceface seem to but didn't finda uk source and renthal make them and are availale at tweeks cycles but they're not ramped or pinned, so what would shifting be like?

Anyone had a similar problem sourcing replacement chainrings for the gxp 2x10 spider?

thanks,

Andrew.

They're a nightmare to find! The only place i found selling something suitable was www.starbike.com - they do 120/80 bcd TA Specialities chainrings which will fit the SRAM 2*10 chainsets, and they're thankfully a lot cheaper than the SRAM proprietary ones. Didn't find anywhere in the UK doing them when i looked a few months ago, although things might have changed...

Thanks Chris,
I'm thinking (unless I get other responses) that I might try the renthal one: http://www.tweekscycles.com/Search.do?method=delegate&n=3514&p=262429&s=renthal+chainring and hope even with the lack of ramps/pins that the shifting isn't too bad (I do most of my riding in the big ring and don't shift between chainrings that often).
I was looking at buying a cheap x7 chainset from CRC but the cheap one on offer (£85 plus I havea 10% voucher) is with the 28/42 rings and not sure I want to risk problems with frame/chainstay clearance and gearing..

Probably be fine, not too many frames struggling with clearance.

I just used stock Truvativ rings when I replaced mine (which didn't take long at all!).

Carbon-Ti do them, and now have a UK distributor. Not cheap though. HBC and Experimental Prototype do them for single ring set ups.

TA do great rings though, and they're usually cheaper from Germany even if the UK distributors (Chickens) are selling them.

It just so happens that I have taken a set of x0 42/28 chainrings, complete with spider off my bike today, and replaced them with more suitable ratios for my 29er. They have had no more than 15 hours use, and are in great condition. I'm looking for £50 plus postage for them if that suits? They're the x-glide ones, so excellent shifting.

Hi Bol,
I'll have a think about it - was ideally after 26/39,but out of interest what spider and sprockets did you replace yours with? Presumably one that accepts smaller ratios more suited to the 29er?
thanks,

Andrew.

When I replaced mine (after D2D ate it!) my lbs cannibalised a set for my replacement!
