I'm lining up a new commuter, with flipflop hub and trackends. It comes as standard with a bolt-through axle, understandably. The thing is, carrying around 2 spanners to remove it as required (to flip the wheel, for example) is going to be a pain in the jacksy.
Is there an equivalent to the Superstar/ DT Swiss through axle for track hub spacing? Or are there bolt-in options (like the Hope Pro 2 bolt-on adapters)? I'll probably get some chaintugs too, to ensure the wheel stays fixed.
do you mean bolt-up? You could maybe replace the solid axle with a hollow one and use an allen key skewer with the chain tugs
Yeah, sorry, bolt-up. Was wondering about QR, but that seems a bit too skinny, even with chaintugs in place...
if you pull out the stays a bit, you could put the tug on the inside so that it works on the axle, not the skewer
