it seems my rear axle is bent. are all 12 x 135mm axles the same design?
this is a DT one which just screws in and has no cam-style tightening on the lever end - just a lever for turning it round.
it's definately the axle that's bent as i can feel when spinning it in.

where can i get a new one? why are they so hard to google? : )

There are 2 different thread pitches, so be careful to get the right one for your bike.

googling dt swiss through axle brought up lots of hits for me, eg.

So still not much help turns out.
Only one 12x135 axle in that selection on bike discount for example; a rockshox one for 50 oiros.
Anyone know if it'd be compatible?

My 2012 Nukproof Mega came with a DT Swiss 12 x 135, after smashing the lever off in the Lakes I replaced it with a rockshox maxle.
I may still have the axle minus lever if you fancy swapping your lever onto it?

Thanks mugboo!that sounds ideal.
I'll email you if you mail's in prof.

Aye poah, I see the rs one is 12x1.75 thread. Does that mean one thread every 1.75 mm as measured along length? Guess so...

I looked it up when I saw this post as I didn't know what my 12x135 darmoor axle is.
