I fancy a pair of these in the 10 degree rise model but simply cannot click the buy button because of the "gold" colour. I'm not normally bothered by colours or looks but I draw the line at gold anything !

Is it possible to get these in another colour ? the only ones I can find are gold, if not can the ST readers recommend same style of bar from another brand but in plain sober black please - thnx Paul

Don't be too put off by the "Gold", not as bad as you think in real life, I wasn't too sure myself but look much more coppery/silver than gold on my bike.

If I knew how to post a picture up I would!

Have to admit, I thought the same before I bought mine. Now I love em' - put them with the Renthal stem and they look the t*ts. It's not a real strong colour gold, it just about matches the stanchions on my Pikes if that's any indication of their true colour.

Renthal did them that colour... "because the stanchions on most forks are that colour"
Little bit on their facebook page from a while ago suggests other colours to come this year and a 70mm version of their stem. ๐Ÿ™‚

They're mint.
Love that they match the fork.

Answer pro taper are a very similar, if not identical shape. Bit cheaper too, and also a great bar. But yeah, as above Renthal fat bars are a great shape, great feel and they look pro. Bit heavy mind but it just inspires confidence.

I'm a tart for brands like Renthal, but I'm even more of a tart for black componentry. When they make black FatBars, I'll be there. All black Duo stem would be rad as well.

ok its not as trashy looking as I feared (thnx 2w1g) I still prefer black but I'm going to buy a pair however (there is always a gotcha lurking) I would like one of their stems and I can only find 50mm size but probably need a slightly longer stem. Is the 70mm version shipping any where ? Stop press just found out they are down the road in Stockport so I have emailed them for an answer.

Sunline V1 here, very similar sweep, rise & width, given the chance I'd swap to fatbar just cause they look nice, colour matches the sanctions on RS & Fox forks, duo stem looks real good too.

The stem only come in 50mm iirc.

The bars are really good. I used to be a big fan of Easton until I tried the Fatbars. Even though they are slightly heavier they feel better and perfect angles.

The guy from Renthal replied as follows ----- Hi Paul,
We are in the process of developing a range of stems. We don't have a release date yet, but the current schedule is for the first half of 2012.
