I use the blades from a Stanley knife. Hammer them in gently one either side. Then two etc etc. Soon enough it will pop out. Minimal scarring.

Grip in a vice, wiggle from side to side until they come out.

Clamp a top hat in a vice with smooth jaws or pieces of wood covering the jaws and wiggle backward and forward while pulling to the side then repeat for the other one.
If they are too short, i.e don't have enough to grip use an easyout.

Depends if you want to mark them or not, the easyout is a last resort.
