Trying to find an adapter to fit my IS front brake callipers to a post mount fork for a 160mm disc. Cannot find one on the Shimano website, CRC have one listed but no picture and out of stock but otherwise they seem to be rarer than hens teeth. I made the mistake of getting a post mount to IS 160mm which is different as it seems they refer to the brake fittings first ๐ Any help appreciated.
Tom
is your brake post or is?
I could be wrong, but I think you need to use a 180mm rotor instead (at least thats the impression I get from looking at the Hope website) it's something i'll need to do soon.
You may find that you can only run a 180mm rotor with your forks hence the reason you can't find a 160/160 adapter. You'll probably have to get a 180mm rotor.
Yeah it is confusing - they all refer to the fittings in the opposite order to what you would think.
Hope dose do a mount for post fork to is caliper but i dose add 20mm to your origonal IS disc size. cant remember the part code. im sure we have one so will let you know the part no if i can find it.

Thanks guys, I do realise I could go up a disc size but I dont know if the type I use (Magura Marta wavy one) goes up to 180! Was hoping to stay at 160mm if I can but may have to change - or get an M966 Calliper which is post mount.
Tom
Mackem or anyone else. I'm just reverting back to IS mount so I have the Hope adapter for Mono Mini and the 180 disc.
Aye, tis a conundrum indeed specially when you realise the front caliper you av tis an IS mount suitable for a 180mm disc already... doh!
Okay, I may have got this wrong (whisky addled tonight) but is this what you're looking for?

This what I used to fit my Giant mph IS calipers to post Rebas. Hard to stop the brake squeal with this set up though.
Or this is an alternative:

I had a similar problem when I first went to PM forks and got some helpful advice here.

Cheers all, looks like Tomwood has found one, thanks.

Cheers all, looks like Tomwood has found one, thanks.
Kunstler, the Wiggle link looks promising however the questions and answers on it had me confused again!
Midlandtrailquestsgraham, the link was for a 180mm disc which seems much easier but thanks, some good stuff in there.
