Got some yellowing copter tape and want to replace it with new. What's the best way to remove it?

heat it up with a hairdryer to reactivate the adhesive and then peel it off carefully.

Emphasis on carefully, it'll lift the paint off quite readily on some frames.

Paint was okay but it took the decals off my brand new turner back in 2006.

Hairdryer helps- if the paint's decent it won't come off but lots of bikes don't have decent paint. But hairdryer also helps avoid leaving hard-to-evict residue.

If it's a carbon On One, leave it on!

Come on Jamie, that was just good friendly advice and not my usual incitement to burn On One to the ground ๐Ÿ˜†

Strange as it sounds, WD40 is good for any leftover residue.

Haven't tried, but maybe along with the hairdryer, spray it with water. A trick is to dip it in water before applying also so maybe the opposite helps.

Residue left... IPA (not beer ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).

As above, IPA is better, or white spirit.
