I have a couple of gilets for cycling but they're a bit flappy. I'm really just after something lightweight but 'windproof' that can still be rolled up small enough to fit in a jersey pocket. Brighter colours (for road use) preferred.
I have got a victory chimp gillet. Stretchy , tight fitting and in orange( other colours available). Their a bit spend at full price, but there is nearly always a sale.

+1 on the Rapha ones, I have a nice bright red one and it fold up tiny.

I'm in the same market as Scotroutes, precisely because my Rapha Core is so thin and flappy! It's a shame because I like the other features (light, packable, double zip) but the flapping material around the shoulders does my head in.
I bought a Bioracer recently, their kit generally seems really good and the gilet seems to be no exception, but marginally heavier material than the Rapha.
Obeying the STW recommend what you own mantra., Castelli Perfetto. Goretex windstopper so a bit bulkier than some, but will fit in a jersey pocket albeit sticking out of the top by a couple of inches. Windproof, breathable and reasonably showerproof. Not cheap new, but plenty of nearly new ones on eBay under £50 probably sold by people who didn't read the size guide.
