Thinking of having a crack at going spd
Not doing any seriously downhil stuff
Just dicking around muddy forest tracks
Are shimano trail spd the best or do i just but the xtr version
As for shoes would prefer something that looks like walking boots
The trail spd from shimano are ace to be honest.

Shoes are dependant on fit etc, i use specialized comp spd shoes as i have slim feet. Shmano again are ace for a bit wider foot.
Confused there seems to be 3 or 4 different xtmodels
M780,785,770 etc are these just new model evolutions or what
Sorry bud, no idea. I have the ones in the link and they are ace. 🙂
M530 in crc basket less than 20squid
A set of wellgo b54 for her in doors (they'll sort her shins) 27 quid
Goal is to keep this to less than a hundred quid
Right now for shoes for less than 54quid size uk11
CB Candy 1's and shoes with a decently stiff sole - find ones that fit
shimano shoes and pedals can be got for £50, ive been there. only problem is you come home with wet feet everytime cause the shoes are see through. pd m520 pedal and mt32/33 shoe i think, merlin was top for me at the time, crc looks like a sale now. oh yeah shoes come up small, go about 2 sizes up
