Looking at carbon bars.
General use xc type stuff. I'd like them to be light but not so light they can only be used for racing.
Low rise, oversize, 685+ mm long.
Are they much of a muchness or is there more too it than finding somewhere cheap to get them? Any good offers around?
Best I've seen so far is the Ragley Wiser as it's light and nice and wide although I'd imagine I'd end up cutting them down as my current 711mm bars on my hardtail have caused trouble in the trees.
I just got some Crank Brothers lo risers 680mm wide, only done a couple of rides with them so far and they feel great, only 160g. IMO they look great to 🙂 bought them from wggle with a British Cycling discount come in at around £87.
HTH
EDIT: i'm 94kg and they are strong enough for me 🙂
I'd go with the Easton Monkeylite XC in 685mm low rise. About 160g and 5yr warranty.
Pro Carbon XCR, made by shimano available from lots of places
