My 'free' travel insurance via my bank want extra £50 to cover a trip to Spain as its hazardous. Anything out there can give cover for less?

BMC.. British Mountaineering Council.
You have to be a member, and check which policy it is that covers it, but it's cheaper for the first years membership anyway. I've claimed off them before for landing on a camera in my backpack, and they covered it and my helmet.

Insure & go, ring them tell them what you want, most things are covered as standard.

HB insurance - perfect - £22 for the week and mountain biking covered as standard. cheers
