After a small road bike for my girlfriend probalby talking around the 1K price bracket. There's some great stuff out there but only available in 50cm upwards was thinking more around a 47 or 48cm frame what recomendations have people got

ridley yana - xxs is 41cm c-c 45cm c-t then goes up from there in 5 other sizes

Giant make most of their models in extra small - 42/46 frame size with 51.5/53cm top tubes.

Look at the Trek Pilot 1.2 wsd bikes - they go down to a 48cm frame size.
Also look at wsd bikes from scott (contessa), bianchi (dama), specialized (dolce) and many more that go down to a 47/48cm frame.

Check out the Specialized Allez. I'm 5'2" and I got an Elite in XS (49cm) and it fits me just right.
