Afternoon all.Fancy a new helmet for crazy, ish trail riding.Currently have a flux and a 661 recon but there a couple of years old so thinking i'd treat myself to a new one.
There's just too much out there to choose from.Budget about £100 and need one with good all round protection.
Normal shaped head so must stuff fits me well. 😀
Cheers gang.

For crazy ish trail riding the Giro Feature MIPS should keep you protected. Seems to be well reviewed.

There was a PSA for the Bell on here during the last week, £60 I think.

I have the IXS Trail RS, suits me but I have a strange head.

Indeedy I like my Bell Super a lot, that £60 deal look very good, but obviously you need to try these helmet to make sure they fit you head shape (or be prepared for the hassle of returning them to online sellers).

IXS trail was what I went for when faced with the same decision. Dead pleased with it, fits really well. Not too heavy given the coverage.

Sbhould be any shop stocked by Zyro, i sell them with this deal, think it's a way of clearing stock due to the Super 2/R

Do these endure helmets feel heavy compared to xc ones?

I've got a POC Trabec MIPS, which is nice but frantically expensive. I'd have gone for the Giro smatkins1 has mentioned if it had been available...

You might notice it at first but not for very long.

Sounds like a helmet with MIPS isn't high on many people's lists.

To be fair, there aren't many of them about and they tend not to be cheap.

I like my Super. The only thing that surprised me was that it's pretty warm. I swapped an Urge Enduo Matic for a Super and I don't think the Super is much cooler, if at all. It fits better though because it has a proper retention system.

Of the three helmets I tried on, the TLD was the comfiest by some way but aso the most expensive and worst looking. The IXS Trail RS was really comfy too, lighter than the Bell and probably more ventilated but I couldn't get the size / colour that I wanted.

Fit £60 the Bell is really good value.

i really rate my mavic notch lid.

looked at the poc and bell options before opting for this.

coverage and airflow good, never get too sweaty despite my hippy locks either.

"The one that fits"....

Got a bell super (mk1) it's good but warm an it rubs on my ears. The head fit is good for me though (and it was cheap)
Had a fox striker - nice lid

The Giro Feature MIPS one is well within the £100 budget mentioned.

Anyone know if the trade-in deal is going at Evans?

Troy Lee A1 is comfiest I have owned, also liked Urge but it either fits or it doesn't due to little adjustment. Tried a Bell Super but found it pressed uncomfortably on my temples.
