As an alternative to carbon. The bars I have at the moment make my hands ache so its time to go.

The only ti ones I saw were mega expensive.

Carbon? I just don't trust myself with over tightening, care etc.

How about Renthal Fatbars? The company originated from motorcross and have transferred their knowledge over to MTB so the bars feature some sort of rubber in them (??) which helps remove trail buzz. They come in 780mm size as standard (clearly needs to be cut down) and comes in rise sizes of 10mm, 20mm & 38mm. They are lighter than my Sunline v1 bar. British too !

Not sure what you want the bar for mind.. I'd suggest renthal for everything unless your a very weight conscious.

I have no complaints with my 745 Sunline V1's on FS and HT, if I'm using grips that are comfy... I had some thin Superstars and got sore crampy hands but now I'm running Troy Lee or Sunline and am much happier.

Hora - are you using Spank bars? I've got a set and they are indeed uber-stiff. What grips you're using makes a huge difference. I had spank lock-ons and they were uncomfortable.

I swapped them back to my old Bontrager lock-ons which solve the discomfort. They're as thick as good 'n Evils. However they're now a bit nackered and Bonty appear to have stopped making them ๐Ÿ™

Dear Mr Race Face. Can you start making Good and Evil lock ons PURLEEEEEEEEEEEZ. Sod it! Think I'll just buy (another) pair of Good and Evil's

I bought some uber-cheap Funn bars http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=15827

whilst I decided whether I really should go from 685 upto 711.

I always use Good n Evil.

My old Nukeproofs were lovely but just gone for some Renthals.

FSA/Gravity Maximus - about as stiff a bar I've ever used! Cheap DH bar is never going to be comfy!
