I am looking for a hardtail which I intend to purchase thro' the Halfords bike-to-work scheme.
Maximum spend will be £1000. What is out there that the collective reckon would be a good purchase. I already have a very good full-sus, and appreciate I may have to compromise a bit.

Orange P7 Single Speed and don't get it from Halfords.

Nope - they won't. £1,000 limit and no sale prices either (unless they are on sale in Halfords in which case you are OK).
