[#2035746]

I've got a super lightweight gilet to stuff in my camelback, which is great. But I'm after something a bit tougher and waterproof to wear on days downhilling in Wales.

Can anyone recommend me a tough, cheap and waterproof gilet?

Sleeves and upper back come off to make a gilet stows up easily and has sleeves if you need them.

Endura gilet is good except it doesn't fulfill the cheap requirement!

Perhaps I should head down my local Millets?

waterproof gilets are hard to come by. they are usually windproof often with a mesh back (no good for DH - i imagine) I think i'd be inclined to buy a cheap waterproof from milets/ army surplus and hack the sleeves off.

Bargain price on that link only if I'm XXXXXXL! Also, it's meshed back which is no good when standing in the back of an uplift truck.
