Pick a weight and pricepoint. A stem is a stem to me.

Sorry yeah, £70 budget...weight is not an issue. A stem is just a stem.

I'll have a look at those two,thanks

blasphemy! I have a bit of a stem fetish. I have actually got a megaforce2 as well as the duo, not much to choose between them. The megaforce2 is more traditional looking, but I prefer the Duo.

Oh ok, a stem is a highly individual component not to be diminished in anyway. Is your preference for the renthal purely an ascetic thing? It's ok to be shallow....but that's a 10degree rise is it not?

Both aesthetic, and also I like the design - the bars are fully supported all the way round with no stress risers. Not to say that the Syntace isn't also well designed and finished - it is probably the nicest 'traditional' stem you can buy.
At 50mm the difference between 10 degree and 6 degree rise is negligible.
