I've currently got an XTAR MC2 intelli charger but it's not very reliable - doesn't seem to indicate when charged.
This is the second one I've had (warranty replacement) as the first one developed the same problem after a couple of uses.
So I want a decent charger that will give a good charge, not over charge and not burn the house down....
Any recommendations?
I've got a Nitecore D2 and it works fine. You can also get it in a 4 bay version (the D4).
Thanks for that - doesn't look too expensive on Amazon.
TBH Xtar are usually good, are you charging 2 cells at once? I find mine sometimes struggles with that if the 2 cells are too different but it's always been fine with a single cell.
My Nitecore i4 Intellicharger has been great
I have the Pila IBC charger, great bit of kit.

@northwind yes, trying to charge 2 cells. Both cells are the same size/type/capacity.
It seems to be the one channel that is inconsistent. All my batteries are XTAR too.
TBH if I had to charge 2 batteries I'd have binned mine but one at a time it's been great. Top quality ๐
Nitecore i4 here too. Had it for years and has been really reliable. I take the 4 18650s out the battery pack of my bar light and charge each cell in the charger, rather than plus the whole pack into a cheap charger
Xtar VC4 here. Brilliant bit of kit for not much money. Make sure you have an ac adaptor that'll put out enough amps if you're charging 4 cells though.
+1 for the Nitecore Intellicharger i4 - especially as it also charges most other NiMh domestic batteries...
i4 here as well, serves me for 30 miles of winter commuting a day, been rock solid for over a year.
I4 here too. Just works.
I4 here too. Just works.
+1
Another happy Nitecore I4 owner here also.
Xtar VC4 here.
Thanks for the replies chaps!
Have ordered a Nitecore i4.
