In need of a new set of tyres, being realistic, a large proportion of my riding is commuting so im after something fast rolling, but on the same hand need a reasonable amount of grip for when i do go out for the weekend.

I run Maxxis Ardents on my Wolf Ridge, can't beat them for commuting on - when inflated to 60psi of course.

It's a shame they're so expensive these days.

Racing Ralph is very fast rolling on the road and I find it has great traction on the back of the full sus. Just whack the pressure up to 50psi from 35psi when commuting.

I wouldn't put one on the front for off roading though!

Continental Verticals.

Cheap, predictable and grippy. Used them for the last few years with NO problems.

I think Halfords sell them for £16 each. Worth a try at that price.
