Hey Y'all,

Just finished uni and will be staying at home until one of my 65, 229 job applications is successful/ I give up and join the navy. I'd like to join a laid back but active club who like a variety of riding and beers. I'm not super fit but aim to get fitter now that I won't be sat in front of a computer 12 hours a day so not too bothered if you're hardcore.
Cheers.

There's an active club in Blackburn if you're towards that end of Calderdale: http://www.alexbarnes1653.webspace.virginmedia.com/bikes/

Not competitive, regular Wednesday and Sunday rides.

www.calderdalemtb.co.uk are a good bunch. Regular weekend rides out and about and Wednesday night evening rides. Not mad fast or technical stuff but good to get out and chat whilst you're riding around. Wednesday nights start/end from Salterhebble just outside Halifax.

Thanks, I 'll take a look. Blackburn's a bit out of the way unfortunately but I'll bear it in mind in case I move nearer that way

Try Teambad we ride from a different location every Thursday starting and finishing at a pub.
Tuesday nights are bit harder and further
Regular night rides through winter
Thursday night focus on fun and social side
We also have a number of members who are into downhilling and arrange uplift days on a regular basis.
Annual trip to Wales for St Georges and Les Gets
Very active website
You dont need to be super fit as our policy is to wait for the slowest rider
