Other than fox i am having trouble finding other shocks which supported 185mm, can anybody let me know if there was any other shocks made with this spec?
I don't see why Tim at TFT couldn't do it to the shock of your choice.
so if i got a 190mm for instance tft should be able to resize it?
In theory, it should be straight forward. Two questions though, what's wrong with Fox? I know some people don't like the forks but I only hear good things about the rear socks. Also, have you looked to see if the 190 will actually work? Chances are, if you're using any off the shelf shock, the valving isn't going to suit the bike you're fitting it to.
why would you not want fox. They're the best mass market shox available.
Fox shox with an eye to eye of 185mm are hard to come by. Idealy i would love an RP2/3 or Fox float R but rthey dont make them anymore for this size and havre to rely on ebay so i am having to look for others
