Need a new rear mech, how do I know whether to get a short / medium / long cage one for a carbon 456 20" frame running 2x10 SRAM X9?
Crankset is SRAM X9 2x10 Crankset, 39/26 Teeth
Cassette is SRAM PG-1050, 12-36, 10 Speed

(Biggest chainring + biggest sprocket) - (smallest chainring + smallest sprocket) = mech capacity
2x10 is probably medium cage.

For example, for 42/28, 11-34: (42 + 34) - (28 + 11) = 76 - 39 = 37
SRAM 10 speed medium capacity = 39; long = 47; so medium would be fine.
I'll let you calculate your own (clearly should have been a teacher 😉 )

Medium should be fine for it as you have 2x10.
