Hi,

Been a while since i setup a rear mech/new cassette combo.

Having a problem. Click up on the shifter and the chain stutters doesnt want to go up the block. Tighten the cable so it does go up but once it gets onto the next cog the cage on the mech due to cable tension is too far over and grinds agaisnt the next cog. Shifting back down isn't happening.... So loosen off the cable so its not grinding and im back to the problem i cant change up gear.

Ideas ?

It's not the cables - there moving freely with the older cassette and chain the shifting was absolutely spot on instant either way.

It's not the cables

Well that's me told.

But for the symptoms you describe, it's cable related IME.

Sorry i didnt mean to "tell" you or anything ๐Ÿ˜‰ I just know it is not the cables. Old cassette and chain fitted it ran smooooooooth perfect.

New chain and new cassette and im damned if i can get it shifting proper.
