I have fairly recently started writing a blog in a bid to further publicise this awesome sport. Please give it a little bit of attention. Thankyou,

Why is it a fail? I'm open to advice.

Well, what looks like your first post was a blunt invitation to read your blog.

A better approach might have been to introduce yourself, put a little bit about what your blog's about and maybe a link to it.

I, for one, won't read a blog just because I see a post here on it but if the subject interests me I might.

The above posts seem extremely harsh? He's given something a go and the blog posts I read are well written.

If you're looking for advice, I'd say add some more photos and sometimes it seems like your trying too hard to sound like a journalist.

no linky = fail (you gotta make these things too easy)
first post being an advert = fail

other than that, welcome to STW

looks good, pretty well written and its the type of content that i used to read in mtb mags

keeping it going will be the difficult bit as you will feel uncomfortable writing the same kind of stuff over and over, its difficult to find that different angle on the same story - but if you are enjoying it, stick with it.

you seem to be striking a nice balance between inspiring and amusing.

i dont like the background on the page

only blog i read regularly is bikesnobnyc, however sharki (from here) was showing a nice writing style from what i read
