Went shopping with swmbo in Bristol and parked up down by the harbour carpark.
As we walked into town we saw a 5 yr old boy asking for money for charity but he did not have a thing round his neck allowing him to raise money for charity.
I asked the lad who he was raising money for and he said his dad who ran an ice cream van on the quayside.
I approached his father and mentioned that the lad was too young to raise money like this and that he would need to be wearing a license given by the police or charity concerned to allow him to raise money.
His farther flew off the handle and started swearing at me and claiming that it was people like me who ruined it for others that want to raise money.
I said that I did not have a problem with the raising of the money but only that it be done legally and the money given to the charity.
His reply was what he did with the money was no concern of mine.
Am I wrong in what I did or my approach.
Did you buy an ice-cream?
Am I wrong in what I did or my approach
No, wouldn't have said so. Call to the police next? All sounds very dodgy....
