My Old man is after a steel frame to replace his tired FS.

He is drawn to the blue pig as all his components will fit. 140mm fork etc.

Can any owners comment on the ride. he mainly rides bridleways but occasionally hits the trail centres.

Any others for the same price to consider for a 140mm fork.

Photos welcome 😆

I have the Ti Ragley, same geometry as the steel frames. Great bike, very capable and more than enough for UK trail centres.

i've got a blue pig X, and must say it is very good.
i've had plenty of full suss over the years, yeti's mostly. it is fair to say, the pig is a bloody good bike. mine is built with mostly xt kit and 150mm revelations, weighs around 27 lbs. i mostly ride fire roads around afan and margam forest, and last weekend went up whites level in glyncorrwg for the first time in 4 years, she can really shift on techie climbs, and switchbacks. a little bit clattery on the skyline descent, but that is me being ham fisted.
if you have the chance to get one, go for it.there are some good deals on ON ONE 456's at the minute, and they are as good as the pig (i've had 3 or 4 inbred's and 456's),and very easily available. you can get a non decal'd 456 carbon for £250 new on their site. so you could easily build a sub 25lb trail bike, that you can do bucket loads on.
hope this helps, any Q's, mail me.

i use my blue pig to do everything from abit of road riding to work and back to red graded downhill runs. its ok on bridleways but is alot more fun when you point it downhill. its pretty good at climbing too. running mine with 140 fox forks and a dropper post. great fun
