straight bladed carbon forks with no guard or rack bosses.

would p clips be ok?

front rack would be for minimal amount of weight.

P clip. It's worked for me in the past.

If you just want to borrow some for an expedition I've got some Carradice 'limpet' front panniers you can use. The wife would kill me if I sold them. the rear of bag velcro's around the front fork and the front attaches to a U shaped frame that you mount on the skewer.

Google it you'll see what I mean.

I use rubber backed pclips on mine for guards but they don't weigh much, so the clips aren't too tight.

On mine there's not a lot of space by the disc rotor so I had to trim the rubber off the outside of the pclip to stop it catching (Exotic forks, Ritchie hub, Avid disc).

Tony, for a front rack have a look at the Wildcat harnesses

http://wildcatgear.co.uk/products/handlebar-harness/

Works very well indeed. I can always pop over with mine if you ever want a look

p clips but cut a bit of old inner tube as a guard against marking the fork leg

Limpet panniers are the only answer here.
