first time on yesterday and I genuinely wasn't aware of them apart from the added warmth.
I don't often wear knee pads, but do have some 661 Kyle Straights that I sometime use on big rocky hills. Was a bit cold at start of ride yesterday so popped the Charge ones on to keep my old knees cosy round GT. Will definitely use them more now ! I realise they offer little protection, but still good for gravel and jaggy bushes I guess !
I think you need to crash on them before you decide how good they are...

I have them and like them, but they offer no protection whatsoever, other than from brambles and the like, and keeping mud off.
Never been a knee pad wearer but bought some for a day at Bike Park Wales.
Wore them all day & I too was glad of them first thing as it was bloomin cold up top. 🙂
