£46 at merlin for seatpost, stem, and bars

would they be a big step up from OEM on a £500 GT hardtail?

My OPINION: I think the bars will be a nicer shape for you, and it will look nicer, but it is heavy - I've got the bars and seatpost on Ebay right now for a mate, personally I would spend your forty-odd quid on a nice stem or some EA70 bars - especially since the classified have a few nice ones lately.

- - - - - -ride xc - deus xc
seatpost - 295g - 245g
stem - 175g - 135g
handlebars - 270g - 210g
total - 740g - 590g

only 150g more than deus which is £130
all depend what is on the bike currently,
it definitely has more kudos,

Are a few grams really gonna make a difference to your ride ???
Just put them on my single speed and they've made no difference to the ride at all !
But... they look good and feel right to me, and that's what matters! 😉
