What size torx bit do I need for the chainring bolts on a m970 xtr chainset? I've got a t25 on my multiple tool bit it's too small!

If memory serves, it's t30 in the outside but I could be wrong. Shimano tech documents would give you the info.

T30 off the top of my head but bigger than a t25 I'd say.

T30 on the outside and t40 on the back to hold them. I just went into the garage to check.

Cool thanks for that, no mention of sizes in the fitting instructions, will nip to halfords in a few minutes.
