Im just about to order a pair of floating rotors, and they will be getting used with a V4 and V2(not the stainless steel ones, the tech 3) and I am 99% sure those calipers though designed around the thicker rotor(vented/2.3mm) can just as easily be used with the standard floating rotor(1.8mm).
But as I cant find any direct reference via google, thought best ask here

Yes, I use Avid Clean Sweeps with my Tech Evo V4, just means you need to add a bit more fluid when you bleed them.
Work perfectly.
Thanks for the answer, I can get the order in.
I'll go via the CRC ad up top. Maybe the added revenue will help speed up this damn forum.
V4 will work with vented rotors or single skin rotors of any width, 1.8mm or 2.3mm
You will however, hit problems using a normal rotor with V2 as it required a specific rotor with a deeper brake track.
If you meant X2, then they will happily share the same non vented rotor with E4 and V4.
They will work but there is a ridiculous amount of piston sticking out with a 1.8mm rotor. Wish hope made the floaters at 2mm.
I'm happier with 2.3mm from either trp or hope.
I've held off ordering till some more replies came in and glad I did. I think now from those it might just be a better idea to go with the 2.3mm HD solid rotors, plus you have the option of straightening those should they get bent or develop a wobble.

I was meaning V2 and thanks for that info, could have caused a headache down the line.
Only issue im having with the 2.3mm HD i have on the ebike is it is meant to be stainless, but i am getting what looks like rust developing on the inside edge of the arms, and to be completely honest, those arent finished that well. I cant see why if they are laser cut they have rough sections on them, its these rough bits seem to be developing the corrosion.
.
Anyway, thanks for the informative replies. Job done.
Seems like Hope's fixed rotors are now 2.3mm for 180mm and over but they're sticking with 1.8mm for the floaters, strange choice, I also think 2mm would be better for floating rotors
