A mate has just bought SL 2011 frame and has ask me to help him source that build kit for him. So using the STW mind what size steer is compatable with the SL ? Tapered or 1 1/8th? Also what headset do i need to look for standard/ semi intergrated or intergrated. Plus a suggestion/ link of whats goods or can i just do Hope mix and match.

Head tube is standard 1/ 1/8th so can't use tapered steerers or Angleset headset. I've a Cane creek 110 on mine and it's been faultless in 4 years. They're integrated (I think), that is the bearing cups sit in the carbon frame top and bottom, which is also why you can't use an Angleset, though a guy in Israel (Saars) has just started making them - if you're interested check out the ibis forum on mtbr for info .
They are great frames and suspension design 😀
