Would everyone agree that if you syringe oil in from the caliper and only get oil out the lever end, there should be [u]no[/u] air in the system?
For some reason my brakes are rather insipid at the mo despite a couple of faffing sessions
air may be further down unless you are totally filling the system with fresh oil
give the caliper a tap to free any bubbles as well as syringing oil through

Most things when you bleed them work best if you suck/push in both directions to get any air bubbles out of the calliper and lever, and usualy opperate the lever a few times to bleed air out of the piston.
Caliper, hose and lever have been tapped along with actioning the lever. Swearing didn't help either ๐
