I'll be there with a service station pasty and a malt loaf if I can get out of bed at 6 am on a Saturday ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
The slow group for me.. no medium... no slow. I suppose it will depend on whether I want to get tired or take pictures

Can someone please refresh the details?

Meet-up at Crowcombe Gate car park, wasn't it (that's the one up on the top in the middle... usually with an ice-cream van in it)?

What time?

MrsF and I were planning to come down, staying with Nettles. Unfortunately she's working in Belgium and won't get home (Leeds) til about 10pm Friday so it's not really doable this time.

Would've been cool to ride new trails with new people. Next time maybe.

Hold the **** on, who are these late comers?????
Jeez, i'll be needing to sort out a 4th group at this rate......................

The weather will be awesome.
The trails are driftastic and will cause injury if you don't keep 110% concentration.
There are lots of sheep and lambs about so beware of stubborn ones on the trails.

CG, summer bike will be fine the few water splashes you'll do are only about 2 inches deep at the most and put some summer tyres on too, no mud round here!

And the chimney is not tarmaced, i did it today at around 12 and again in the dark and it was certainly not smoothed out, however it certainly is fun(for me at least)

I've now done about 60miles up there this week and can safely say the Quantocks trails are running the best they've been in a few years..so thanks to Aleigh for a choice weekend for you all to experience our little hills!

BTW, if your planning on staying over on sat night, bring a sleeping bag and grub for brekie, drinks for sat night and sum shower gel, towels, etc.

Who was planning on coming up and staying in the CP in their van on friday night????mail me please addy in profile.

Ta.

both the shorter routes arnt set in stone and if it all goes super smooth we may add a few bits in. After the main route we will offer the "chimney " route if anyone wants it. an extra3-4 miles mostly flat but worth it.

Anyone running late or lost but defenaitly coming can call or txt me on 07950132713 .

hard group will be same time but further, with some fun dh trails thrown in, bail ou points along the way should time become an issue.

Sharki will the slower group have any fun downhill bits thrown in? Or should I bring my hardtail?

See you all tomorrow. Should be 3 of us in my Golf ๐Ÿ™‚

rich, depends what you think makes a descent fun...a ht is fine for most the trails but that's a matter of preference. You may appreciate a full suss on bits of the chimney, and the ridge..but may get more enjoyment from a ht, trails are quite stoney so you may want some buttock protection.
My advice is bring your favourite bike and one that can climb ok....

I think I will bring my Coiler for the simple reason I cant be arsed to put brakes on my Scandal. Plus it will be better for me to haul it around rather than fly along on the 29er.

I imagine we will turn up late after trying to fit 3 bikes in a MK3 golf with 3 people and trying to find the place none of us have been before ๐Ÿ™‚

We are aiming for the 09:00 ๐Ÿ™‚

bright orange markers will be going up this afternoon, just come off M5 junc 23 and follow signs for minehead, when you get on the A39 look out for the markers easy.

No idea of numbers and never will know, me, knottie and charlie are sodding off to ride on exmoor!

๐Ÿ˜‰

Seriously though, last rough count was 37, then some pulled out more joined and some never told me, therefore my guesstimation is TOO BLOODY MANY!!!
but will deal with that in the morning.

See's ya!

I am really excited, its the closest I have got to a holiday in ages
