I was wondering if there anyone on STW is willing to show me around the Quantocks one day, I am based near Wells and do most of my riding at Burrington Combe and a few trips to Afan/Cwmcarn, my kind of riding is xc type and single tracks, not into big jumps or fast DH stuff, can do 15/20 miles and ride Giant Anthem mtb, I have been to Quantocks once about 5 years ago and got lost, it took a while to find the carpark where I left and havent been since 😳 which probably put me off visiting Quantocks again but seeing pics on here and mags is making me want to ride there.
Will buy you a beer if you show me around.

We've been up there a lot of late.
Beer was always my fee along with Cake.
It seems the locals are quiet these days on STW with reguards riding on the Q's, but all that will change i hope when i return soon, if not i'll go solo again.
I would offer to guide sometime in April if you want me too, i might still be able to string together a little 20 miler.
Oldfart who comes on here is a Wells fella, just back from a summer in Whistler so he may be a bit too rad for XC riding 😉

@sharki, I will free mostly in April apart two weekends in middle of the month (Newcastle stag's do and Goodwood mtb race) A beer and a cake is on the menu for you if you show me a cracking loop.
Sunday sounds best as I've got to pop in to work some time Saturday - email in profile if you're up for a 3 hour 20ish miler, mid morning start?

@jti26, hi and it was a good ride at the Quantocks, my first proper ride over there and weather was ace too, big thanks to snaps and buzz-lightyear showing me around.
I live just outside of Wells and do ride with the Wells bike shop on Tuesday evenings sometimes mostly in the spring to summer time, if you pop in the shop and ask them about it, they should be able tell you, I am planning to ride again with them next month when the evenings get lighter.
buzz-lightyear is a Wells man, top chap and friendly, maybe give him a call, I often ride over Burrington Combe and there is some guys here ride there alot including Shipham MTB, they ride on Thursday evenings, hope to have a ride with them in summer.(I can show you around Burrington Combe one day if you like)

Glad to hear the ride went well. You're right, Buzz is indeed a top chap(described elsewhere on here as 'alarmingly social' if I remember!) I have ridden with him the last couple of weekends.

Your offer of showing me round Burrington Coombe sometime would be great; yes please! I took myself up there the other weekend and did a few of the trails but i can see there's a lot more to be tried.

usually good for 15/18mls if you want a bit of local Knowledge/p*sh
