Don't cycle up Weacombe!! It'll make you hate everything and everybody for the rest of the day. Dunno the co ords, but if you have an OS map, I guess the coombe will be on there.

I'm still at work, but I'll try and remember to dig out some routes when I get home.

Knottie, Dibbs or Charlie.
Been talking to snaps and its seem as though you guys may be able to help me. Sunday April 19th is my 50th birthday and I'm planning on riding a 50 @ 50 (miles). What can you come up with for the Q's and would you be available to lead a route? Obviously anyone with only one good shoulder should not reply (shark)

Knottie - thats what I told azarat that it would do to me, I once managed 44 miles offroad going from Princetown to Plymouth & back but it left me not wanting to ride for a few days!

Azarat, how the **** can you be as old as 50! I'd be up for a 50 miler. Maybe link up some Qs with exmoor?

The longest route I've got on the Quantocks is around 35 miles and I can assure you you wouldn't want to do much more.

i'll be up there walking from about 12 onwards..can't help more than that as i'm grumpy.

As for a 50 miler on the tox...did a 55 miler last summer kinda just rode around all day, did all the main combes, wandered along the main ridge end to end and popped into kilve for a cream tea...wanted to keep going for the sunset but got tired for some reason, only managed 35 the next day so can only say 50 odd miles up there is fairly hard work.
Let me get up on the pc later and i'll give you a brief idea of the route i did..

Sharki and Sponging machine thanks for your input. If all else fails could someone let me have the Gps logs of the STW fast and middle groups rides as these two could be linked together with a little extra to make up the fifty. Sponge keep in contact and we could ride from Barnstaple building up the mileage. Linking Barnstaple to Woolacombe with surrounding areas you can easily put in an 8 hour ride.

Paul - I've got enough good routes on the Quantocks to add up to 50 miles but you'd be seeing a lot of the same scenery more than once!
