Want to get a QR seat clamp - anyone had any experience of these 2 options?

On-one QR - http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/SCOOQR/on_one_qr_seatclamp

Identiti QR - http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/product/37941/Identiti_Quick_Release_Seat_Clamp

Is that right or just marketing BS and riders justifying a higher price tag to themselves? Read a review of Identiti on here that said it was decent but wanted independent opinion.

The same one as the link shows? What was wrong with it? What do you have now?

Yes it was a 29.8 one of those, it came with a plastic bushing not the brass one as stated, on the third time of being opened and closed it chewed up and spat out the bushing and stopped working, I emailed on one about it and they said they now come with a plastic bushing, in all fairness they sent me a brass bushing to replace the plastic one but it's very thin and gave up after a bit too
I now have hope and salsa on two bikes and they're faultless..

It's fine to say somethings pants but reasons would be good? It may well be the case you get what you pay for but in many cases that's not always true.

I quite like Crank Brothers Split QR seat Collar although the plastic cover broke off pretty soon after installation. Doesn't affect its function.

My one on clamp was rubbish. Sent it back. Had a hope one for 3 years now, and put the seat up and down everyday and its stiff and smooth as new. looks pretty too.

That cut-out on the lever makes it stupidly weak and bushing parts are poor quality..

It's not difficult to design a good QR clamp (like shimano did) and I see no reason for the stupidly high price of the half decent ones available.

I've had that on - one clamp and it was utter rubbish. Cant speak for the identiti, I've had hope and found it never stayed tight. For me its chromag every time, have them on all my bikes, its about the first thing I would ever upgrade. That ruddy great bush means that it's always tight, is never graunchy and has great leverage. Use that marine grease I recomended on your what grease thread and its smooth as silk, happy days.
