Cheese and rice I was totally pwned today. You know when it gets so bad you just end up swearing out loud to the birds and bees. I rode into one section that's normally a 53t blast, only to find myself using a massive climbing gear just to keep going.
It was meant to be a steady 65 miles, but I'm fried.

Wasn't to bad at 7:30 this morning. Seems to have gotten breezier through out the day.

I just count it as resistant training ๐Ÿ™‚

Use Lance Armstrong's psychology when he was training in windy Texas. Just keep thinking "The wind is my friend, the wind is making me stronger". Probably helps to be Lance Armstrong as well.

So weeping probably didn't help?

Should have put the effort into pedalling harder rather than weeping ๐Ÿ˜‰

Blasting in the Carneddi this morning. I'd planned to get to one of the bigger peaks I haven't ridden yet but thought better of it after getting halfway and had a run over the smaller tops to Aber instead. Fixing a split chain was challenging too!

Yes, windy in Airedale, Yorkshire. Wind on a day like this is a blessing. Keeps you cool ๐Ÿ™‚

Kuco, I need a picture of you for my stem so I never act like a sissy again.

Climbing from nan bield onto harter fell my butcher was repeatedly blown into the air and it was only my grip on the bars that was stopping it blowing away. It was like a fancy Santa Cruz flag...

Your stem not big enough to get a picture of my fat bulk on it.

Freak gusts saw me and a mate both lose it on the tops of the downs on the IOW. Whatever way I landed, I bent the rails on a one-ride-old saddle. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Strong breezes in the SW; not unwelcome. Classic sunburn conditions though.

You need an 80 watt spacer.

Love the wind - either good resistance training or a nature enhanced high speed sprint - can't go wrong. Mind you it was only a 30 mile redway ride in MK this morning. (still not off roading properly following shoulder op but getting there!)

Hideous wasn't it? A 100 mile Cheshire road ride. I was on for an 18mph solo century until I got to Frodsham on the way back.

Very windy last night on top of Braeriach. Tailed off in wee hours but picked up again this PM.

I see wind now as resistance training, six months ago wouldn't have bothered in this.

Weirdly only windy half the ride? How weird is that!

It was tad breezy on Dartmoor too today ๐Ÿ™

Managed to do a route where we were sheltered on most of the ups into the wind & then on the way back we were pushed up the hills ๐Ÿ™‚

Yep windy in North Wales but sheltered on the Marin and the cool breeze was welcome relief.

Just the slightest note of a cooling breeze here... Could've done with a little more tbh.

You know when it gets so bad you just end up swearing out loud to the birds and bees.

Thats so funny cause I did that on multiple occasions today in the Midlands (Long Mynd). Didn't realise others did it.
I feel better now.

7.5mph pedalling downhill across cadover moor yesterday on the road bike. Was nice once you got the wind behind you...
