Beautiful sunshine in the car park.

2 minutes into the ride on the red trail the rain starts but fortunately stops after 5 minutes.

Unfortunately it is replaced by a very intense hail storm but that only lasts a few minutes thankfully.

The 40 minutes of sleet that followed weren't that pleasant though.

Slip sliding down the trails through puddles with the hail still floating on top.

Waterproof shoes are great, unfortunately I had left mine at home so was wearing some canvas trainers.

After being spat on the ground through sloppy mud I managed to find some hard surface, unfortunately it was flint and I found it with my knee.

Bleeding and with bruised pride I was glad that the sleet stopped to be replaced by rain. Riding down some of the trails I swear I saw salmon swimming up the other way.

Finally get back to the car park and the clouds clear and the sun comes out and it is beautiful again.

Sounds like pretty much 50% of QECP rides.
Shame the weather has turned, it was genuinely dusty up there on Tuesday.

Quote of the day.

I was going up this morning, but realised I would probably fall out of love for biking if I had a QECP ride today

QE is great when dry, except when you bin it on the chalk!! I've had some truly miserable rides up there in the rain too
Though!!
