The frame I bought has a pushed fox dhx coil. The previous rider is a bigger lad than me. As a result I have a lighter spring. Do i need it repushing?

The damping 'tune' should be matched to the spring rate used by the previous owner, the damping is adjustable with a full strip.

Costs can be found on here:

I would recommend having it re-done ideally but give them a ring and see what their opinion is 🙂

Depends on what's needed if it's been recently serviced it can just be stripped retuned (shims removed/changed to suit rider weight and bike suspension system) ~£30

If a full service is needed there would be a additional charge ontop of the service cost.£65 + £15

Loco, on this note i've another question.

I have an RP23 shock that is set to the 'medium' tune but i'm only 9 stone or so in weight so would it be worthwhile having it retuned to the 'light' version?

Thanks.

GW - good point! Bike in question is a Marin Wolf Ridge QuadLink II so how that affects the tune i've no idea...

Having the shock on your marin push tuned or shim stacked by someone will make a huge difference. J tech did the on mine and the bike was so much better after, didn't blow through it's travel too easily as the original shock set up did.

When a shock is pushed - does it make the boost valve/chamber redundant or do i need to change for my weight? Would a >value in this make the ride harsh?
IS "bottom out" resistance a personal thing like rebound?
